What is the set up cost and do you have URL masking?
  • There is no set up cost. What you see is what you pay.
  • There is no URL masking, your domain name will be linked directly to your web space.

If I don't currently have a domain name what do I set my URL to?
  • We will provide a FREE sub-domain along the lines of http://www.username.capitalhosts.com which will point directly to your web space.

How do sub-domains on Business Hosting work?
  • Your domains and sub-domains will be set up in separate areas with their own URLs and usernames.

  • For example you might want to have www.mainsite.co.uk with sub-domains of www.sales.mainsite.co.uk and www.help.mainsite.co.uk each with their own allocation of space.

  • You can also link multiple domains to the same area. For example you might want both www.mainsite.co.uk and www.mainsite.com both to point to your main area.

  • Similarly you might want www.sales.mainsite.co.uk and www.shop.mainsite.co.uk to point to the same area.

  • The total allowance of web space can be divided up between your main and sub-domains as required, subject to a 50MB minimum on any division.

  • You may only have one website section with a top level domain name assigned to it. (i.e. All your registered domain names point to the same section of web space).

  • Each Business Account can have up to 5 sub-domains each with a minimum of 50mb space per sub-domain.

  • We do not allow you to divide your space up to sell on to other people. This is a direct breach of our Terms and Conditions.

  • If one or more of the sites are operated by a third party we would consider that to be an unacceptable use of the server.

  • If you are selling products via the website that we are hosting, we consider this as business practice and expect you to purchase a Business Account.

  • If you are operating a Business but have only purchased a Standard Hosting Account we will consider this a breach of our Terms and Conditions. You will be contacted via email with the option to upgrade to a Business Account.
